Baby Shower!
I had my baby shower yesterday & everything turned out wonderful! I am so blessed to have so many friends and family that wanted to share that day with me. Baby G got plenty of great items that she needed and will love! Not to mention, she ate well yesterday.. mama took care of her. :) We had the shower at my house & my sister and mom put it on for me & it turned out beautiful. I have to say, having it at my house was the way to go! I am very glad I had it at home even though there was a ton of cleaning involved before the shower. After everyone left, I didn't have to drive home and haul stuff or anything & it was free (maybe I should have charged them to rent the place hehe) Here are just a few pictures to share the special day with you ladies:
Again, it was a wonderful time. Brianne, I would have posted the picture of me holding my diaperchamp (which I love by the way) but my mom got my underwear in the picture apparently hahaha, oops! Thats what she gets for sitting on the floor... so embarrassing. Kristen, we missed you at the shower, wish you could have made it up but 7 hours is a long way to drive :)
Well thats all for now, I hope everyone had a great weekend! I am off to take a nap, I got too much sun today(or I indulged on too many of the leftovers that are still at my house!)

done!
Well I am back home from the dreaded 2-hour glucose test. I survived :) Now I just have to wait to see the results!! Regardless of what the outcome is.. atleast it is over with now!

What a mouthful
I have been a total slacker on blogging. Sorry! We have just been so busy lately. We bought a new boat to take out on Lake Superior a few weeks ago, a 26ft Regal. We took it out on the lake with my sister and brother-in-law one night and I have to say.. IT WAS AWESOME. I can't wait to take our little one out on it next summer.. the boat has a full cabin so it will be really nice with a little one. She will be able to get out of the sun, take naps, use the bathroom, there is a sink & kitchen appliances to heat up food. A little home away from home if I might call it :)
And besides that we have been cleaning and cleaning and did I mentinon cleaning? :) My mom & sister are putting on a baby shower for me this weekend, but I decided to just have it at my house.. which in turn is more work for me because I have to make sure the house is guest ready! Thankfully my mom has been a god send & came over all day yesterday and scrubbed all of the places I have trouble getting to with my belly in the way. :) ALSOOOOO.. coming this week is BRIANNE!! She :cough: finally :cough: comes back from Colorado where she was all summer! I can't wait to seeeeee herrrrr.
I have been getting around pretty well & I also have been sleeping really good. I was nervous for the 3rd trimester to begin because I always heard how you sleep the worst then, and I hadn't been sleeping good during the 1st & 2nd, but this has so far been my best sleeping month!! ::knocks on wood:: I get out of breath a lot easier though. After I eat, when my food is trying to digest it seems like I can never get a deep breath in.. oh well, soon I will have a beautiful little girl to hold & all of the unglamorous pregnant traits will be over. A girl I work with, Anne, made a chain link across our two desks the other day to start a countdown until little baby g arrives.. 68 days until due date!! Wahoo! That seems soooo close when you think about it in days, or think in just under 10 weeks. Almost single digits in weeks, how incredible.
Andy is gone (again) to Chicago. He has a work meeting down there so he left early this morning & will come back late tomorrow night. Usually when he leaves it is ok, except now I am useless trying to pick things up (out of breath, or belly gets in the way) and I am trying to keep things clean before the shower so I don't have to do as much on Friday night & the dogs are hyper if they aren't run, and well he has been taking care of that one ever so kindly since I can't really run anymore. Then tomorrow morning is the dreaded day that I have been putting off for so long (3 weeks to be exact). The 2nd glucose test. Yep, that's right. I still haven't taken the 2-hour one. I failed the first one, not by a ton, but I did, so my doctor was up in the air if I NEEDED to take the 2nd one, but decided she would like me too. Well since then I haven't had any time from work in the morning that I could go and take it first thing in the morning (Me fasting until afternoon is out of the question). And since I am the only person that works at the desk I had to wait until I had a morning off. My sister is going to come into work an hour early, so that I have someone to sit with so I am not bored and so that she can draw my blood. She is such a nice sister :) I wonder what she is going to make me do to pay her back though? haha
In other news Andy and I went and toured the daycare center and met with the director that our little one will be going to after my 6 week maternity leave. Thankfully, she will only have to be put in daycare on Wednesdays & Fridays for 1/2 days. The rest of the time she will be with my mom or MIL. AND... my boss is hiring another person part-time so I don't have to be a one woman show anymore & I will actually get to use my title of Office Manager to be someone's boss & I get to drop down to 30 hrs a week! I get to work basically 1/2 days all week & I got to pick my schedule. It is perfectttttttt. Very good news! And we loved loved loved the daycare we chose!! So many positive, busy things going on.
Ok, I think I may have just bored all of you poor souls that decided to click & read my blog... SORRY! :) I just had a lot to catch up on! And I figured I better make it a fulfilling update so that I don't get scolded by Brianne & Kristen anymore :) Sorry I don't have any JUST belly 30 week pictures yet, but I will do some soon! (before week's end, pinky promise!)

Besides that fun, I also had some maternity pictures done. Sam over at Samantha Elizabeth took some amazing pictures (the ones I have seen so far) and I am so glad that she wanted to take some! I might add, that Sam, I still have a few bugbites from that day .. haha :)
