Christmas Traditions.

Only 49 sleeps until Christmas is here!

But who is counting, right?

I can hear all of you yelling at my through the computer.
"let's worry about Thanksgiving first"
"why is she SO excited for cold weather, and snow"
yeah... I heard that..
it's all said with love though right? ..or something like that :)

But to me, Christmas is SO exciting.
The entire season just makes me giddy.
Why wouldn't it though?
I get to celebrate with my friends and family.
The snow outside (although cold) is breathtaking.
I get to decorate the Christmas tree with my daughter.
The radio & tv are full of Christmas classics and songs.
It is still to be determined if my sister and I are actually Elves.

I just feel like it gets everyone in such a good mood.
Well unless you are the grinch of course.

So every year I start a countdown until Christmas with my bestfriend, Sarah.
She lives in Oregon now but that doesn't stop us.
We text eachother, we facebook eachother, we skype... we remind eachother how many days there are until Christmas!

I shop early, and then shop some more.
I stock up on more wrapping paper than one ever needs.
And the day after Thanksgiving is free for all around my house.
I can officially decorate!
ahhh I can't wait.
And I promise it isn't about the gifts.
Although, I am that type of person.
I like to buy gifts for people for all occasions.
But that isn't the most important part.
To me, it's about the traditions, the special things that you do with your family.

Anyway, the reason I wanted to write this post was because I wanted to know what YOUR favorite christmas/holiday tradition is??

Do you do something special with your children?
Do you have a favorite tradition from when you were little?

Please share! I'd love to hear.
