I am so excited for today. Last year, today my child was too young to understand just how great today is. And well, maybe she is still this year but she gets to watch the parade with me on tv & eat good food for dinner!
I figured in light of Thanksgiving I'd share what I am thankful for.
Sounds like an appropriate thing to talk about, right?
I am thankful for my family. All included.
But I can't help but smile full of joy when I look over and see my daughter sitting with her daddy and giving him hugs.
I am thankful that both sets of our parents live within 20 minutes of us. We get to see both of them on all holidays and even though it can be stressful trying to juggle the time, it is always well worth it.
I am thankful for DVR. I have to throw this in here. DVR is a lifesaver when I need to jump in the shower when I'm home alone and don't have time to wait for kennedy to nap. We have episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, or what Kennedy calls "mi mo" when she sees him, and if we put her in her play area and turn that on.. she is like glue.
I am thankful, for our jobs. In today's economy many people are struggling for work. I am thankful that everyone in my family has a job that they can go to. I am thankful that I love my job & being able to work with family and also be home with atleast 1/2 of the day, everyday.
I am thankful for my mom & mother-in-law. They babysit Kennedy when I am at work and besides the fact that they love seeing her so often, I am thankful that we don't have to put K in daycare.
I am thankful for Blogger. I have an outlet to share whatever is on my mind at the time, I have an outlet to meet amazing people and develop new friendships, which I have with some of you (and hope to with the rest of you!) I think it is great to find a connection with certain people that you normally would have never met in your life. Some of those people turn into such great friends.
And although I could go on forever about things in my life that I am thankful for today & everyday, I will leave you with this last one.
I am thankful for the day.
Family, food & football!
woot. go lions!
Happy Thanksgiving Bloggy Friends!
