Our Anniversary Recap

Well, New Year's Eve is our anniversary but with it being a Monday (and the last day of the month) we both worked. In the car business the last day is usually the busiest. With that we celebrated throughout the week on a couple of occasions.  Saturday night, the 29th, we went to dinner with my in-laws and had a wonderful time. Kennedy came along with us so we got a private table off in the back so she could climb around. We toasted, drank some tasty drinks and ate delicious food. With the 3rd anniversary traditionally being leather, my in-laws gave us some leather monogrammed coasters from pottery barn, along with some wine & champagne. Totally right up my alley.

Then on Sunday the 30th, my husband and I exchanged gifts.  He bought be gorgeous diamond stud earrings. I only had cheap stud earrings and my ears are pretty sensitive so they would always hurt. He was so thoughtful to get me those. I was actually surprised that he remembered from months ago how I mentioned that I really should get myself some of those. They are perfect.

For him, since it was 3 years, I wanted to get him 3 gifts. One for each: Mind, Body and Soul.  His mind gift was a slideshow of us from the last 3 years with our two wedding songs playing (I'll post it if you want to watch but I warn you, it's 10 mins full of pictures).  His Body gift was a tie bar since he actually didn't have any. And finally his Soul gift were tickets to see Justin Moore in February. If you know my husband, you know that his philosophy is "country music is good for the soul."

Our actual Anniversary/NYE we really just spent the evening eating takeout, watching movies and drinking champagne.

God Bless us for these amazing past 3 years.
